More recently I have been experimenting with mixed media, and it has enabled my artwork to possess more sophistication.
When working in a paint medium, I integrate a variety of colours as it is possible to create an unlimited amount of colours with paint.
Pencil is another one of my favorite mediums. Pencil enables me to obtain great detail in my pieces.
I have always enjoyed working with pastels. Their richness and vibrancy allows me to easily express my thoughts and ideas that I wish to incorporate into my pieces.
I have been an artist for the majority of my life. I enjoy using art as a way of provoking thought, and I therefore try to have a deeper meaning behind my pieces.
Workshop; This year, I received an invitation to attend an artist workshop. I am honoured to have the experience offered by this workshop. I will get the chance to learn from well known Canadian artists.
Calgary Stampede; A Cowgirl's Summer Day was selected first place for the Grade 12 Western Art Scholarship. The piece was on display for the full ten days of the Stampede.
South Central Alberta Charolais Breeders Sale; For the last two years, I have donated pieces to this bull sale as a door prize.
